On July 8, 2026, France's Mistral released Robostral Navigate. It is the company's first model for robots. The model is small, at 8 billion parameters, the settings an AI learns in training. It lets a robot follow plain-language directions using just one ordinary camera. Mistral says it succeeds 76.6% of the time in places it has never seen. That beats the best single-camera method by nearly 10 points.
